Description Now Hiring: MRI Technologist Sign on Bonus: $15,000 Ask about our relocation bonus Location: Cape Coral, FL - On-site (805 Del Prado Blvd.) Status: Full Time Schedule: 5-8 hour shifts Monday - Friday Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. We are seeking an MRI technologist with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience. Job Summary for MRI Technologist: The MRI technologist performs a variety of MRI scanning sequences and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed radio frequency pulsed sequences of MRI diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. The services should be provided with attention to detail and friendly guest services. Operate MRI imaging equipment and assist physicians and radiologists as appropriate to comply with regulatory agencies and established policy, procedure, and protocol. Calculate and select proper pulse sequence factors such as TR, TE, FOV, flip angles, matrix, slice direction, slice position, slice thickness, gap, and other technical factors based on patient age, physical condition, patient ability to hold still, suspected pathology, etc. to apply to imaging sequence and procedure. Adhere to established company procedure protocols. Explain proper preparation and scanning procedures to patients prior to procedure and verify appropriate patient history pertinent to examination ordered. Ensure that imaging is properly completed with correct information, such as patient name, account number, date of exam, and date of birth as appropriate to systems in use and policies established. Provide personal, patient, patient family, and assisting staff with protection in accordance with prescribed SAR limitations and equipment safety standards, policies, and regulatory agencies. Escort patient through procedure to prevent entry into unauthorized or restricted areas of facility. Prepare and position patient for MRI scanning and ensure patient modesty, confidentiality, and privacy. Prepare IV solutions sets and contrast agents for administration and assist radiologist and/or physician during administration. Prepare and administer contrast agents as ordered and as certified to administer. Operate computer terminals, printers, and phone systems. Assist with training new employees as needed. Manage stressful and emergency situations with a calm, rational demeanor. Demonstrate the ability to set priorities and maintain a clean and organized work area. Manage company email account and company intranet, as relevant to the position. Adhere to and support company policies regarding dress code, smoking, meals, and rest breaks. Travel to other office locations for staffing coverage as needed. Represent the company to the community in a positive manner. Maintain and compile records and reports as necessary. Requirements Required: Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent hospital-based program.
