SUMMARY

We are seeking a MRO Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The MRO Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies and services to support plant operations and facility maintenance. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely availability of materials, and compliance with company policies, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems; has knowledge or hands-on experience using EPICOR is an advantage
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Source, negotiate, and purchase MRO supplies, spare parts, tools, equipment, and services required for maintenance and facility operations.
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery.
• Review requisitions, prepare purchase orders, and track orders through completion.
• Monitor inventory levels of critical MRO items and work with the maintenance team to avoid stockouts.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining vendor agreements and preferred supplier programs.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, budgetary guidelines, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier contracts, and cost analyses.
• Resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, pricing discrepancies, or defective materials.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and other departments to forecast and plan MRO needs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management.
