Our Thetford plant is looking for a MRO Stores senior organiser to join our team, you will have the opportunity to lead by example, and enjoy mentoring and learning from others. Here, you are trusted to manage your own time and are given opportunities to grow your career as you wish.
You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring spare parts, consumables, and materials required for engineering and maintenance operations. The role also supports inventory management by assisting the storeman in maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring availability of critical parts, and optimising stock levels. This position plays a key role in minimising downtime by ensuring the timely procurement and efficient storage of engineering components.

Responsibilities
  • Source, purchase, and negotiate contracts for spare parts, consumables, and engineering materials within budget and policy guidelines.
  • Raise and track purchase orders (POs), ensuring timely delivery and supplier performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to improve quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing engineering spare parts.
  • Maintain an organised and efficient engineering stores environment.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, health & safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining digital inventory records and procurement systems. 4. Continuous Improvement o Identify process improvements in purchasing and inventory control.
  • Support the implementation of best practices in stock management and procurement efficiency.
