About the Role We are seeking a Remote NOC Network Engineer (L2) to provide second-line technical support for enterprise networks. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents remotely while ensuring SLA compliance and high service availability. Key Responsibilities Monitor LAN/WAN/WLAN environments using tools such as Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, DNAC, PRTG, or AirWave. Perform L2 triage, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for Cisco and Aruba networks. Support routing & switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, HSRP, VRRP), VPN, QoS, NAT, and wireless solutions. Support Enterprise and Data Center network architectures (Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Cisco ISE, Cisco Nexus platforms, Cisco ACI, and SD-WAN solutions). Review alerts, perform packet captures, diagnose faults, and escalate to L3/vendor TAC when needed. Execute routine NOC tasks: health checks, configuration backups, performance monitoring. Maintain updated network documentation (diagrams, inventories, runbooks). Follow ITIL processes: incident, change, and problem management. Participate in 24x7 shift rotation, including nights/weekends. Requirements Degree in IT/Computer Science/Telecommunications or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years working with Cisco routing/switching in enterprise or service provider networks. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP, VPN, QoS, and 802.1X. Strong understanding of Enterprise and Data Center network architectures, with hands-on experience in Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Cisco ISE, Cisco Nexus platforms, Cisco ACI, and SD-WAN solutions. Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba wireless AP & Controller. Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SNMP/NMS platforms). Good English communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced NOC environment.
