The Role The Faculty of Social Sciences is offering a Social Media and Marketing Internship available to our MSc Law and Finance student community. The purpose of the internship is to support the postholder in the development of their skills in social media and website management, while providing student to student social media content. This may include development of content on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, as well as developing the webpages for this new and growing programme. The postholder will work with staff to develop engaging and creative content that is in line with University brand guidelines and that best represents the programme's community. This is a role that will create external facing communications representing the university, therefore it is essential that the postholder understands and takes seriously this responsibility. They must create content in line with ethical guidelines and that positively promotes the programme. This is a flexible internship that is designed to be managed alongside studies. On average, we expect a commitment of roughly 3 hours per week, but this is flexible across the internship in line with your studies. Weekly timecards will be agreed with the line manager. The internship is available until summer 2026. Role Responsibilities · Social Media Internship · Under instruction and following appropriate training: Work alongside the team to develop student-led social media content Develop experience and skills in social media management from working in a real-world work environment · Work with your student cohort to promote demonstrate diverse viewpoints · Develop engaging content on the web pages for the programme Develop content that is engaging and creative and ethical, while working to brand guidelines Plan and prioritise own work, adhering to agreed deliverables and timeframes and referring any issues with workload or timeframes to colleagues. Essential Criteria · An interest in creating professional social media and web content that represents the MSc Law and Finance student community. · An understanding of the responsibility of creating external facing content · Ability to engage and communicate with the student community · Good skills in time management and ability to prioritise own workload · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Strong written and verbal communication skills.
