The Regional Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth across a defined multi-market territory, with a primary focus on warehouse storage systems, racking, and integrated material handling solutions. This role targets both competitive new business and strategic expansion within existing accounts throughout (East of) I-75 & South Georgia, including Augusta, Savannah, and the AFL Florida territory. Serving as a consultative solutions partner, the Regional Sales Executive identifies and develops opportunities in racking, storage systems, and broader warehouse optimization initiatives including AMRs, AGVs, and order fulfillment technologies aligned to each customer’s operational and financial objectives. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of material handling applications, product throughput, workflow design, and core business processes. The Regional Sales Executive will proactively convert key competitive accounts, build long- term strategic relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to pull through the full portfolio of solutions offered by the AFL family of brands and companies, positioning AFL as a trusted advisor in warehouse and automation innovation. Requirements ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Primary role is to increase customer base and opportunities through continuous new customer acquisition and existing customer optimization across a regional territory. Generate new business on customer leads from external and internal sources. Maximize sales of warehouse products to include racking, shelving, guard railing, and other allied equipment while creating lead share opportunities for automation, conveyor, engineered solutions, and the general construction divisions. Thoroughly understand the practices, methodologies and requirements of logistics, supply chain, and material handling applications to produce a storage system design survey. Source, develop, and sell material handling storage solutions that will accelerate customer’s efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Develop, design and present proposals with financial analysis to validate customer’s ROI gained from proposed storage solutions. Target key accounts and regularly track progress and success in attaining business. Work on multiple design projects utilizing internal resources including CAD Designer, Marketing, Sales Team, Service Team, etc. Master product information through training and personal efforts. Learn, master, and use various business technologies daily (CRM, Microsoft Office, SmartSheets, etc.) Communicate regularly with inside sales personnel and management Attend and participate in all sales or company meetings and company sponsored training sessions for enhancing selling skills and technical knowledge. · Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. · Must be a self-starter and motivated individual. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. · Strong problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, team player. · Strong closing skills. · Excellent customer service skills. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2+ years of related experience with material handling storage systems providing consultations, creating proposals, and closing sales. CRM, Microsoft Office, Project Tracking. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Minimum BA/BS degree in business management, marketing and/or industrial related field. Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license with good driving record Must be 18 or older - Must be able to pass and maintain certification as a forklift operator. WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position will have exposure to warehouse settings where the noise level is quiet to moderate. Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
