Job Description:

MSK Physiotherapist – GlasgowJob Summary

Sports Therapy Glasgow are seeking a skilled, motivated and personable MSK Physiotherapist to join our established clinical team.

Founded in 2014, we provide physiotherapy, sports therapy, sports massage and rehabilitation to a varied patient base, ranging from members of the general public to recreational athletes, strength athletes, performers and elite-level competitors.

This is a self-employed position with part-time and full-time opportunities available in our Glasgow clinic. Our Edinburgh clinic offers access to a gym-based rehabilitation environment, while our smaller Glasgow clinic provides a welcoming and well-equipped treatment setting. This is where you will be situated.

The clinic manages patient enquiries, bookings, marketing, treatment facilities and clinical supplies, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent patient care. We are particularly interested in clinicians who want to build a strong caseload and develop a long-term role within a supportive and growing team.

Duties

  • Assess and manage patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions
  • Develop individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans based on clinical findings, patient goals and current best practice
  • Deliver hands-on treatments, including manual therapy and other appropriate physiotherapy techniques
  • Prescribe clear, progressive and achievable exercise rehabilitation programmes
  • Support patients returning to sport, training, work and normal daily activities
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans when required
  • Educate patients about their condition, injury prevention and effective self-management
  • Maintain accurate and professional clinical records
  • Communicate effectively with other clinicians and healthcare professionals when appropriate
  • Contribute positively to the clinic’s professional, collaborative and patient-focused environment

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration
  • Appropriate professional and public liability insurance
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment, anatomy, rehabilitation and pain management
  • Confident clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis skills
  • Experience working within private practice, sport or an MSK setting is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain clinical information clearly
  • A professional, compassionate and motivating approach to patient care
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider clinical team
  • Good organisational, time-management and documentation skills
  • An interest in exercise rehabilitation, strength and conditioning or return-to-sport care would be advantageous

Applications from physiotherapists at different stages of their careers will be considered. Additional experience or specialist interests, including women’s health, sports rehabilitation, strength and conditioning or persistent pain management, would be particularly welcomed.

What We Provide

  • An established clinic with an existing patient base
  • Patient enquiries, online bookings and clinic marketing
  • Fully equipped private treatment rooms
  • Treatment equipment and clinical supplies
  • Flexible part-time or full-time working opportunities
  • Support from an experienced multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Opportunities to develop your caseload, professional profile and areas of clinical interest

Join Sports Therapy Glasgow and become part of a growing clinic committed to high-quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. We are looking for a clinician who takes pride in their work, communicates well and is committed to helping patients achieve meaningful, lasting results.

Benefits:

  • Casual dress

Pay: £25.00-£37.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
