POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Technician role will produce raving fans by supporting our client’s IT needs while working at their site. They will be physically on site to provide technical hardware, software, and network support in a high stress, fast paced environment, as well as handle Help Desk tickets and requests. The Field Technician will essentially act as our clients IT Department but be managed and supported by CloudStep.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in MSP environment
  • A+, Net+, Sec+, MCSE or other certifications preferred

KNOWLEDGE

  • MSP Help Desk experience is a must. Having worked in Healthcare is a plus.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Manage or similar PSA
  • Experience with Datto or similar RMM
  • Experience with ITGlue or similar documentation software
  • Experience in on site visits with end users
  • Experience in installing workstations and periphials along with cable management.
  • Experience in installing network hardware in equipment racks.
  • Microsoft Windows and Apple MacOS Operating Systems
  • Apple iOS and Android Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
  • Multi Factor Authentication
  • Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESX
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP/DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
  • Understanding of medical equipment and software

    Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to client site each day and traveling to ancillary locations
  • Performing on site troubleshooting, maintenance, and hardware installations at all client locations
  • Being present to address requests from users as well as service tickets and working them to resolution
  • Following up with users to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Escalate tickets to senior analysts
  • On boarding and off boarding users and workstations
  • Server and workstation support including installing and updating software and troubleshooting errors
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Printer, phone, and scanner support
  • Documenting resolutions and creating end user instructions
