Description

We are seeking a MSP Support Technician to become an integral part of our team! In this role, you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of networking concepts, including knowledge regarding troubleshooting applications, and network devices (hardware/software), in addition to other services (Messaging, WiFi, Video, Collaboration, Web Apps, etc.).

You will be exposed to a wide variety of challenging learning environments and will contribute to the success of the company while gaining valuable experience. Solus is a small company which allows for a great deal of flexibility in the opportunities available to our employees.

  • A reliable insured vehicle and a valid Driver’s License are required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of prior experience in IT support
  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Computer science, engineering or a related discipline preferred
  • MCSA, MCP or RHCSA certification - preferred
  • A+ certification - preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft networking and applications (e.g. Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services)
  • Experience configuring and working with Firewalls, VPNs, and TCP/IP networking
  • Experience with ConnectWise is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Assist callers with requests for information technology services, repair, or support requests
  • Act as Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues originating from the help desk
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues related to Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure AD, etc.)
  • Maintain, configure, and support Microsoft Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services)
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and VPN configurations
  • Provide remote and onsite support to business clients as required (valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation mandatory)
  • Deploy and maintain desktop environments, including imaging, policy enforcement, and application deployment using Microsoft tools
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of server/network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
  • Contribute to Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including licensing, security settings, compliance configurations, and user provisioning
  • Configure, deploy, and support network-connected devices (printers, VoIP phones, access points, etc.)
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms such as N-able for patching, alerting, and automation
  • Support and maintain endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms such as SentinelOne, including threat response and policy tuning
  • Document issue resolution steps, configurations, and client environments thoroughly in internal systems
  • Participate in infrastructure-related projects and collaborate with other technical staff to meet customer and organizational objectives
  • Support or maintain VoIP systems and endpoints (e.g., Cisco, Polycom)
  • Apply IT best practices, security principles, and compliance guidelines to all support and project work
  • Maintain and update technical documentation as systems evolve or change
