PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience with client PC and/or embedded SoCs
  • System level debug experience with both HW and FW components
  • Knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts and silicon development
  • Familiarity with HW/SW cosim and modeling
  • Familiar with scripting languages and programming (Python/Ruby/C/Perl/Tcl)
  • Experience with UVM and HDL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog)
  • Prior experience with testing tools and environments, defect tracking and revision control
  • Familiarity with Silicon Verification Tools (such as Verdi, Simvision, Visualizer)
  • MS Office & MS Project tool suites

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a driven Senior Hardware Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team in the AIG group at AMD. This role will be critical in verifying AI functionality and performance for our client and gaming devices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop emulation framework and capabilities with an emphasis on SoC and endpoint models
  • Build and enhance existing SoC emulation models
  • Develop custom SoC and other AI testbed emulation models
  • Triage system level issues and be able to root cause HW issues
  • Identify HW performance bottlenecks and give feedback to design teams
  • Work with cross organization teams to ensure Silicon/SW/Platform/etc. features are in sync, development is supported, and validation is planned
  • Develop test plans in conjunction with HW, SW, and FW teams for feature coverage on emulator
  • Work with DV and PV teams for cross verification of AI functional and performance metrics
  • Work with internal emulation and infrastructure teams on developing custom emulation models for AIG group
