Our Company Butlers of Kent Ltd are currently seeking a multi drop van driver to join our haulage firm located in Maidstone. The ideal candidate will have previous experience and knowledge of Kent and London. In return for your hard work, we offer a competitive wage with the opportunity to earn up to £29-31k per annum, including bonuses and the opportunity to work towards your ADR licence if you do not already hold one.
Key Role Requirements
* Perform daily truck inspections in order to meet legal and Company specific requirements in-line with our preventative maintenance plan and complete defect sheets accurately, reporting any necessary problems and defects without undue delay to the office.
* Comply with the relevant drivers’ hours and working time rules.
* Keep the exterior and interior of vehicles clean and tidy and equipment in good working order.
* To work as part of a team and take instruction when requested.
* Excellent communication skills.
What skills are we looking for?
* Experience using an electric or manual pallet truck
* Experience using tail lifts
* Demonstrable experience of working within Health and Safety parameters
Drivers usually start between 6am-8:30am and finish between 3pm-6pm. The occasional Saturday morning will be required to meet delivery requirements. Remuneration offered for Saturday work.
Salary is Basic salary, plus a range of bonuses. We also run a competition between the drivers each month to win a voucher of your choice based on service provided to customers.
