We’re hiring a Multi-Family Outside Sales Representative to aggressively grow our lumber, hardware, and building materials business across the DFW market. Compensation is heavily commission-based, designed for sales professionals who want their income tied directly to performance—not tenure. If you know how to break into multi-family projects early, build contractor loyalty, and turn relationships into repeat volume, this role can pay very well. What You’ll Be Responsible For Building and owning a multi-family sales pipeline across DFW Prospecting and developing relationships with: Multi-family developers General contractors Project managers and site superintendents Selling lumber, hardware, doors, and related building materials into ground-up and turn projects Getting in early on projects—before bids are locked Partnering with estimating, store teams, and operations to deliver competitive bids and flawless execution Managing pricing, margin, and volume agreements within company guidelines Maintaining CRM activity, forecasts, and opportunity tracking Representing the company on jobsites with professionalism and credibility What Success Looks Like A growing book of multi-family business with strong margins Repeat projects from contractors who trust you to deliver Consistent pipeline activity—not feast or famine Income growth driven by sales results, not promises What We’re Looking For Proven outside sales experience in: Building materials Lumber yards Hardware supply Construction sales (multi-family strongly preferred) Demonstrated ability to hunt, close, and expand accounts Comfortable working job sites and construction trailers Strong negotiation skills and follow-through Highly self-motivated and accountable Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout DFW Compensation Base salary + aggressive commission structure Commission tied directly to revenue and/or margin performance Vehicle/Cell allowance Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Top performers will significantly out-earn the base.
