Description:

PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Multi-Lingual Ecommerce and Marketplace Manager to be based within commuting distance of either Manchester or Barnsely,UK.
Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,700 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130+ countries and 11 Global warehouses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia. We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

To become the Multi-Lingual Ecommerce and Marketplace, you will need:

  • Being multi-lingual in one or more of the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian is an absolute necessity.
  • Be within a commuting distance from either of our Manchester or Barnsley sites.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in an Amazon Marketplace Manager role within a B2B or DTC environment with hands-on experience of PPC campaign management or similar
  • Preferrable to have Amazon Vendor experience. Amazon Seller or similar will be considered
  • Relevant degree in digital marketing, business or similar relevant field
  • Microsoft suite of products including Excel to an intermediate / advanced level, use of apps such as Power BI & general project management skills along with strong analytical and data-driven thinking
  • Commercial awareness and reality are a cornerstone of this role and demonstration of past sales and PPC success will be necessary to give the confidence that you can deliver sustainable sales growth
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team and as part of the wider matrix management environment
  • Knowledge of Marketplace platforms such as Amazon Vendor/Seller, eBay, Walmart and more; advertising platforms such as Google Ads; keyword tools, search console, repricing software, integration software and platform accompanying software such as Helium 10 and Jungle Scout
  • Understanding of B2C and B2B selling platforms, web design and web analytic software

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and develop the Portwest eCommerce and Marketplace strategy on selected eCommerce platforms that supports company annual and 5-year growth plans
  • Determine the appropriate digital selling platforms and work with internal colleagues (Operations, Marketing, Commercial, Product, Graphics) and external partners to develop engaging content, drive sales growth and customer engagement
  • Develop, implement and manage SEO/PPC Strategy/Marketplace Marketing Plans with internal colleagues
  • Monitor, measure, manage and act upon Marketplace/platform analytics and internal data sources showing a high degree of commercial awareness and skill with a focus on advancing sales growth
  • Maintain a current working knowledge on eCommerce platforms and Marketplace developments, associated software and online selling trends
  • Manage and develop all online activity in relation to PPC, sales, conversion and testing
  • Measure and report on the performance of all eCommerce / Marketplace initiatives and assess against goals (Sales, Conversions, ROI and KPIs)
  • Brainstorm new and innovative eCommerce and Marketplace strategies
  • Challenge historic ways of doing things and ensure that the strategy and tactics are fit for the digital/online landscape
