Woodland Group are recruiting an Multi-Modal Operations Coordinator for our team at Seaham. Reporting to and working with the Road, Ocean and Airfreight Supervisors, the Multi-Modal Operations Coordinator will work closely with customers, clients and agents, coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of road, ocean, and airfreight shipments. This role ensures the efficient and timely movement of goods while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The coordinator serves as a key liaison between internal teams, clients, and external agents to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational performance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end operations for Road, Ocean and Airfreight shipments, both import and export
  • Liaise with carriers, hauliers, overseas agents, and clients to arrange bookings and ensure timely cargo movement
  • Complete customs entries for inbound and outbound shipments, using our in-house forwarding software systems
  • Prepare and manage full shipment documentation including CMR’s, AWBs, Bills of Lading, invoices, and delivery notes
  • Track and trace shipments, keeping clients and internal teams informed throughout
  • Resolve any shipment issues or delays professionally and efficiently
  • Ensure all files are accurate and closed off correctly with full costing and invoicing
  • Work with the operations team to continually improve processes and business performance.
  • Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and
  • Work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.
