Description The Multi Shot Operator manages multiple presses under designated conditions after others complete press set-up. Work includes cycling the machine, removing scrap material from the parts, checking molded parts by gaging and visual inspection. Refers all deficiencies to Supervisors or to Quality. Team Members work in both individual and team settings. The position is full-time and eligible for benefits after 60 days. Overtime as scheduled. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs basic mold press operations. Properly label all containers with product information. Inspect products for conformance to specifications. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition. Follows prescribed safety regulations. Clean totes for product storage and shipping. Completes records according to quality standards. Perform all duties in support of Vandor’s quality and safety policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Ability to work at a fast pace. Previous manufacturing experience. Good communication of the English language, both written and spoken. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement. Previous experience using handheld measuring tools. Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a team and independently. Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused. Must have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs. Must be able to stand/walk for full shift, 8-12 hours. Perform frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, reaching and other physical movements. Ability to work with both hands on a constant basis. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
Responsibilities
