In this role, you'll be the financial leader for our Airdrie, AB Plant, while also providing strategic oversight for the Edmonton Power Centre and Pass-Thru ledgers within our Canadian finance division. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, including evaluating capital deployment opportunities and resource prioritization. Lead capital planning and deployment to address short-, medium-, and long-term needs of the business, ensuring prioritization and allocation based on business needs and cash flow. Coordinate profit plans and forecasts for key operational metrics and manufacturing costs. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a business/ finance focus. Minimum 2 years experience working in an operations/manufacturing environment. Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Holder of or pursuing a professional accounting designation CPA (CMA, CGA, CA, CFA). Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Minimum of 5 years of data analytics. Knowledge of federal/ provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes. Understanding of foreign exchange transaction and translation reporting. Success in this role comes from combining strong financial expertise with exceptional communication and collaboration skills. You'll leverage advanced Excel proficiency and analytical abilities to deliver accurate insights, while effectively translating complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders. Building strong relationships with key managers and remote teams is essential, as is providing timely, practical business advice. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage time in a matrix environment, and solve problems proactively will set you apart. Regular interaction with manufacturing teams—including shop floor visits—ensures you understand operations firsthand and can align financial strategies with business realities.
