About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Supervisor to support multiple apartment communities and ensure our properties are safe, well-maintained, and operating at a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance day-to-day maintenance needs with larger projects. You’ll lead a small team, support property operations, and help create a positive living experience for our residents. What You’ll Do Oversee maintenance operations across multiple apartment communities Lead, train, and support maintenance technicians Perform and coordinate general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and repairs Manage unit turns, ensuring apartments are move-in ready and meet company standards Participate in and respond to on-call and after-hours maintenance emergencies Conduct routine property inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs Assist with planning and executing capital improvement projects Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations Maintain accurate records of work orders and maintenance activity (Yardi experience preferred) Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors What We’re Looking For Experience in apartment maintenance, ideally across multiple properties Strong working knowledge of general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc.) Experience with unit turns and renovations Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management systems preferred Understanding of Fair Housing laws and regulations Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and guide a team Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Schedule Full-time role during standard business hours Participation in on-call rotation and availability for after-hours emergencies required Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Health insurance options Paid time off IRA Contribution Match Who We Are At Meritus Property Group, we’re committed to creating well-managed communities and positive experiences for both our residents and our teams.
