Growing property management company looking for a well-rounded maintenance technician/handy man to bring their skills and knowledge to one of the largest independently owned companies in the Valley.
Unlike other maintenance positions, we do not require mandatory overtime providing a work-life balance unseen in other property management companies. This full-time position is Monday through Friday with optional weekend overtime, but no on-call hours required.
We provide all major holiday’s off, which is another benefit unmatched in property management. Additionally, we provide one floating holiday and your birthday off as well.
The position starts at 8 am and typically ends at 5 pm, medical benefits provided after a probationary period and performance review. Vacation provided after one year with the company along with yearly review and wage adjustment. Bi-weekly gas allowance and monthly tool allowance given. Travel distance is primarily the Valley, Newhall and LA.
The position requires you to have and maintain your own vehicle for work and transporting tools and materials. You will need to travel between multiple locations daily. Proof of automobile insurance required. Ability to read, interpret and understand work orders in English. Proof of legal right to work in the United States.
Skill related requirements include experience in general repair, plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, light HVAC as well.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintaining and repairing multiple properties
Plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
Repairing parking lots and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
Repairing and/or replacing building brick, stone, and concrete. Maintaining and repairing wood parts of buildings.
Assisting other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Cleaning in internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
Emptying trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup.
Painting interior and exterior walls and trim.
Requirements
Requirements for this position consist of:
Reliable transportation, including the ability to drive for business purposes.
Proof of automobile insurance.
Must provide basic hand tools.
Ability to read, interpret and understand work orders in English.
Proof of legal right to work in the United States.
