Description
Key Responsibilities: 1. Preventive & Routine Maintenance Perform daily checks of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire-safety systems. Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance as per IHG standards. Record all maintenance work in the logbook/engineering system. 2. Repair & Troubleshooting Attend guest room maintenance requests promptly within the set response time. Diagnose and resolve issues related to: Electrical fixtures & panels Plumbing lines & bathroom fittings AC units and ventilation systems Carpentry and basic civil work Kitchen and laundry equipment (basic level) Ensure all repairs are completed safely and efficiently. 3. Safety & Compliance Follow hotel safety protocols, energy-saving practices, and emergency procedures. Support the Engineering Supervisor in maintaining statutory compliance (fire equipment, DG, STP, WTP, elevators, etc.). Report hazards, unusual incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately. 4. Guest & Team Interaction Provide polite, timely, and efficient service to internal and external guests. Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and F&B for maintenance-related tasks. Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments. 5. Equipment & Inventory Management Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and materials. Update spare parts usage and inform the supervisor for replenishment. Keep workshop and technical rooms clean and organized. Skills & Qualifications: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical trade. 1–3 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance (IHG experience preferred). Ability to handle multi-trade tasks (electrical, plumbing, basic HVAC, carpentry). Good communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and emergency situations.
