Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer Location: London (Covent Garden base) Must be flexible to travel to Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes and Loughborough when required Reports to: Pareto FM Lead Engineer Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £42,000 + paid travel to sites outside Covent Garden On-call: Approx. 1 week per month The Opportunity Pareto FM are looking for a proactive, hands-on Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team, primarily supporting a key London site in Covent Garden, with occasional travel to additional locations. This is a varied, front-line engineering role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, working closely with clients, and taking ownership of site standards. You’ll be the first point of response for M&E and fabric issues, ensuring maintenance is delivered safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the client. What You’ll Be Doing Responding to maintenance requests from initial submission through to completion, ensuring clear communication with the client and FM team Acting as the first line of response for M&E and fabric-related issues Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure building systems operate effectively Completing statutory compliance tasks across facility services Updating and maintaining records via Infraspeak CAFM system Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, within budget and in line with client expectations Supporting and managing subcontractors for routine and reactive works, ensuring RAMS compliance and quality assurance Providing technical M&E advice and guidance to the client where required Liaising with project teams and contributing technical insight to ongoing works Supporting wider site initiatives including health & safety, risk assessments, utilities, security and resilience planning Communicating planned works clearly to the client to minimise service disruption Identifying opportunities for innovation and system improvements Supporting wider FM functions during periods of resource constraint Participating in the on-call rota (approximately one week per month) What We’re Looking For Strong M&E maintenance background within a commercial environment Confident fault finder and independent problem solver Experience delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance Comfortable managing contractors and ensuring safe systems of work IT confident, able to update CAFM systems and digital records Professional, reliable and client-focused Flexible and willing to support additional sites when required A team player with the ability to build strong working relationships The Right Person You’ll take pride in delivering a high-quality service. Responsibilities
