Job Description We're Hiring Electrically biased Multi skilled Engineers – Join Us in Gateshead! Salary - Competitive and in line with market rate. Shift - 4 on 4 off days and nights. Valeo Foods UK is on the lookout for talented Multi skilled Engineers to join our team at our Gateshead site – home of the much-loved tortilla crisps and rice cakes. What you'll be doing: The daily reporting of breakdowns v PPMs activities Prioritisation of repair work Planning and Monitoring machine performance Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability Monitoring failure Supporting External Contractors Technical support for production when required To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy. To maintain the highest standards when completing paperwork and works sign off. Key areas of the role: Carrying out of the engineering activities. Achieving P.P.M. Plans and completion rates. Minimizing engineering downtime. Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department. Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team. Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times· Ensuring Engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level. Qualifications About you: Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry Experience of FMCG operations PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems) Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments. You will be: An "out of the box" thinker who isn't afraid to share a "light bulb" moment! Health and Safety driven. Willing and able to work both independently and as part of a close team.
Responsibilities
The role involves daily reporting of breakdowns versus planned preventive maintenance activities, prioritizing repair work, and monitoring machine performance. Engineers will also support external contractors and provide technical support for production as needed.
