DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • GMP manufacturing equipment
  • Recognised formal qualification in secondary control discipline or equivalent experience in Control Systems
  • Knowledge of high integrity PCS and PLC programming would be desirable
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are recruiting for Multi Skilled Engineer with a specialism in Instrumentation and Controls to join our experienced Engineering and Facilities Team at our Hoddesdon site.
In this role you will carry out timely, consistent and compliant engineering and maintenance operations across the Site, enabling the Engineering and Facilities Department to deliver an efficient and effective service to the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently conduct corrective and preventative instrumentation maintenance activities originating form work generated by (but not exclusively to) the Computer Maintenance Management system.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time.
  • Proactively identify maintenance plan improvements of omissions, working with the Engineering Workshop Supervisor to ensure all maintenance PM plans remain relevant, are technically correct and compliant.
  • Ensure all documentation of maintenance activities are to GxP standards both in paper-based records and the Computer Maintenance Management System and that accurate reports are generated.
  • Work on small projects where required, including design/installation and commissioning or minor systems (new or alterations).
  • Constantly seek new, innovate and cost advantageous methods of completing the work without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensure a sufficient stock of materials, equipment and parts are maintained to carry out requisite work. Identify low stocks so restocking can be undertaken.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and be proactive in addressing potential issues of hazard and risk and reporting such issues to management for prompt action.
  • Liaise with all people that might be impacted by the work, affording them the opportunity where possible, to minimize disruptions and keeping them informed of progress and expectation completion targets.
