You will be responsible for providing the electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs for the equipment across the whole facility. Working as a key member of the operations team you will ensure that our business operates in a planned, organised, efficient, and safe way, whilst maintaining the St Ewe Eggs family culture. S

You will be responsible for delivering high levels of GMP, food safety and integrity standards.

  • Undertake Electrical and Mechanical routine checking of equipment, quality inspections and troubleshooting on the production lines, working to minimise downtime
  • Effective communication with the productions team, providing timely updates on breakdowns/down time
  • Technical support for the plant facilities and services, including compressed air and refrigeration
  • Input to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines - Support the Production Team in achieving targets
  • Closely monitor line and machine performance, identifying and investigating faults
  • Analyse the efficiency of current procedures and suggest improvements
  • Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment, installations, and modifications -
  • Maintain cleanliness in any areas in which you are working, including any transit areas to and from the workshop, including the workshop and stores
  • Update the maintenance management system, records of all changes, stores transactions made, and work carried out.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
  • Actively participate in toolbox talks and undertake permit to work and/or risk assessments
  • Ensure all systems comply with the relevant health and safety legislation, as well as relevant site food hygiene and safety requirements
  • Fault finding, relevant electrical qualifications (18th Edition, C & G, ONC or OND)
  • Electrical/mechanical installation experience in one form or another (new plant, modifications, and plant improvement)
  • Experienced in commissioning electrically and mechanically

  • Higher diploma level (HNC), competent in PLC work for fault finding and minor modifications, or a minimum 6 years withing the engineering department so plant knowledge is second nature

The days for this role will be 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday. A level of flexibility will be required.

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
