We are looking to recruit a Multi- Skilled Engineering Supervisor at our production plant in Coatbridge.
The candidate must be a multi disciplined maintenance engineer who poses both exceptional man management & engineering skills
Working within a proactive maintenance team on site you will be responsible for reactive and planned maintenance responding quickly to machinery breakdowns along with dealing with daily maintenance duties including planned maintenance ensuring optimum production performance, minimising equipment downtime through a proactive approach to all continuous improvement strategies
In this role as a Engineering Supervisor you will be responsible for the management, prioritisation & allocation of ad-hoc reactive engineering tasks and ensuring that planned tasks are carried out to the correct standards.

As an Engineering Supervisor you will ensure:

  • Your team of multi-skilled engineers work safely and adhere to all Fishers relevant Health and Safety procedures and support your team to be the best they can
  • Proactive supervision of your team, support them such as but not limited to Quality Audits, Health and Safety Audits, Mentoring, Coaching and Training.
  • Drive engineering excellence within your teams
  • Control engineering stock of parts to ensure we have essential spares on the shelf.
  • Ensure completion of PPMs
  • take time to listen to your team on an individual or group basis.
  • Be a role model for your team, show ambition and limit/reduce spend with third parties.
  • Muck in and contribute your time as a hands-on engineer
  • Give positive feedback when due, inspire individuals to grow and develop.
  • Address individuals poor performance early and put in place appropriate steps to support improvement
  • Be the Engineering point of contact
  • Understand the site priorities
  • Motivate Engineers and understand there needs.
  • Respond to and prioritise the shift to resolve line running issues
  • Report and update other departments regarding current breakdown status, impact and lead time to resolution.

As well as performing both planned and reactive maintenance on a range of production machinery the successful applicant will be involved where necessary to support the introduction of new equipment including Training, Installation, Commissioning, Customer handover and maintenance. Other roles will include providing operational support on potential changes and driving through a continuous improvement culture throughout production.
Experience with laundry, process or packing equipment would be an advantage. The candidate must be able to work alone or as part of a team and should possess good analytical and problem solving skills together with a flexible can do approach.
