MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER

An opportunity has arisen to join the Wenlock Spring Water team. We are a family business with family values. We are one of the UK’s most prominent suppliers of premium bottled Spring and Natural Mineral Water winning national and international awards. This is a new role working along-side our current Engineers.
We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical and/or Electrical) supporting high-speed bottling and canning lines as well as site utilities. While prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential, we appreciate that our machinery and processes are highly specialised, and we will provide additional training where required to bring you fully up to speed.
Shift Pattern: TBA
Tenure: Permanent
Salary: To be negotiated (depending on experience)
Location: On Site – Wolverton, Shropshire

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and inspection.
  • Troubleshooting, fault diagnosis/rectification on automated & PLC controlled equipment, automated machinery, and site services (compressors, and boiler plant) across all areas of the plant.
  • Work flexible shifts (including some weekends) with advance notice; supply basic tools (specialist tools provided).
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform maintenance, emergency repairs, and root cause analysis to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance and equipment improvements to meet KPI targets.
  • Collaborate with teams, support contractors, and contribute to process and safety improvements.
  • Engage in training, mentoring, and continuous skill development.
  • Operate cost-effectively while maintaining equipment performance.
