Title: Multi-Skilled Operator and Studio Engineer
Type: Permanent, Full time
Start date: ASAP
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, dependent on salary
Location: This role is 100% based at our new HQ in Aylesford, Kent

We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Operator with a strong studio engineering skillset to join our broadcast team.
This role supports the ongoing fast growth of the organisation.
You’ll be very comfortable working in a small TV production gallery, able to operate multiple types of equipment across the audio and visual disciplines.
Whilst your role will primarily be as our key PTZ camera operator, you’ll also open and shutdown the studio each day, maintain the equipment (gallery and studio) and troubleshoot when necessary.
You’ll ensure our studio is always operating at peak efficiency and quality and that our output always looks and sounds great, with the highest production values.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Being pre-active about the ongoing success of the TV channel and the content creation
· Operating PTZ cameras on rehearsal and shoot days
· Operation of key equipment on the studio floor and in the control room including sound and lighting desks
· Maintaining cameras, audio and lighting equipment
· Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues in the studio and gallery
· Researching and buying equipment as required
· Escalating issues where necessary to our external broadcast engineering support
· Working closely with colleagues in the IT department
You’ll excel in this role if you have the following skills & experience:
· Strong technical proficiency across multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, cameras, sound, vision, lighting, media management, MCR and Playout
· A can-do attitude with the desire to take ownership of tasks and projects
· A passion for all things broadcast
· Experience working with any of the following equipment is beneficial but not essential: Newtek Tricaster, Sennheiser/ Behringer audio systems, talk back, Cloud LED lighting systems, Canon PTZ cameras
