Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a full time Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Bolton site. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant and equipment across the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To be responsible for all mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance issues around the factory.
  2. Undertake planned maintenance, breakdown repair and condition monitoring activities of plant and equipment.
  3. To participate in daily production meetings, so as to provide information on machinery status, reliability and performance.
  4. Attend and contribute to regular team meetings (some of which will occasionally be outside of your normal working hours)
  5. Proactively identify and implement improvements to machinery and equipment to improve reliability and/or reduce costs.
  6. Work in conjunction with Operations staff on daily operational engineering related issues and continuous improvement teams.
  7. Responsible for ensuring that a clean, tidy and hazard free working environment is maintained to defined standards.
  8. To contribute to Six Sigma activities as they relate to own area of responsibility.
  9. Perform general administration tasks as necessary.
