GWR is the proud custodian of Brunel’s railway - one of the most prestigious networks in the world. We have some of the newest trains in the country and exciting plans to extend our services. With more than one hundred million passenger journeys each year, we carry people to over 275 stations in the South West, from Cornwall and South Wales to London, passing through beautiful country and some of the UK’s top tourist destinations.

The successful candidates will be joining one of our four existing teams with various rosters which are aligned to workload and therefore could be changed to meet these needs.
Successful candidate will be subject to a safety critical medical.

• To carry out maintenance activities, fault finding and defect rectification/reporting across a varied fleet of trains
• Carrying out heavy component changes.
• Attending out of course failures on the main and branch lines across Cornwall
• Providing technical support as and when required
• Completing general Depot duties.
• Carrying out safety critical and non-safety critical tasks in accordance with controlled technical instructions
