Our Multi Skilled Workshop Engineer role is for you.
Metroweigh are recruiting a reliable Workshop Engineer, to join our dedicated engineering team in London. This is a Monday - Friday role, excellent opportunity for candidates not wanting shift work and to be located in a workshop in Loughton, IG10.
Metroweigh are leaders in high quality weighing solutions and inline inspection systems supplying calibrations, commissioning, repairs and servicing to the food manufacturing industry, along with pharmaceutical and freight forwarding. The family business has been running for 45 years and is expanding to support the company growth plan.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering work experience in fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing.
  • A team player and understand the importance of team performance.
  • A keen eye for detail and are meticulous with your work.
  • A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and improve.
  • An electrical/mechanical engineering qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of working with weighing equipment is desirable.
    This is a Monday - Friday role. Ideally, you will live in the North East London, Essex, or Hertfordshire areas, to allow a manageable commute to the workshop.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Access, fault find and repair all weighing equipment returned to the workshop from customer sites
  • Conduct performance tests and calibrate equipment as required
  • Work together with project engineers to prepare new weighing solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations and parts ordered
  • Conduct a high standard of workmanship on every job
  • Complete work within deadlines set by field engineers and customers
