THE VACANCY

Fulltime: 37hrs per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join the Asset department to carry out general building maintenance works to a wide range of building types, including those works not necessarily of your own trade.

EXPERIENCE

• Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of maintenance work.
• Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.
• A recognised trade apprenticeship, NVQ level 2 or the equivalent level of skills and experience is required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
• Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
• Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings / training.
• Ability to participate on the out of hours call out rota.

• Undertake all general maintenance building work in order to maintain all premises owned by Saffron or those they have an interest in.
• Undertake building work in association with improvements, minor works and small new build contract.
• Carryout all work of a maintenance nature as required; this may include but is not limited to - Carpentry, UPVC Door and Window repairs, Tiling and Minor Plumbing.
• All 1st and 2nd fix Carpentry.
