Are you a skilled tradesperson with a passion for working with young people?
Humly, in partnership with a local training provider, is seeking a Multi-Trade Instructor to support students in gaining vocational skills in areas such as carpentry, mechanics, construction, or plumbing. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your expertise and make a lasting difference.

REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has qualifications and/or experience in a practical trade (e.g. carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, construction) or as a D&T teacher.
  • Can work with resilience, empathy, and creativity when supporting students.
  • Is confident building strong relationships with young people.
  • Has experience managing challenging behaviours in a therapeutic, inclusive manner.
  • Can communicate professionally with colleagues and contribute to team development.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, practical sessions to small groups of students.
  • Lead or support vocational workshops, ensuring correct staff ratios.
  • Inspire and motivate learners by passing on real-world trade skills.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised workshop environment.
  • Deliver accredited outcomes in line with qualification criteria.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to personalise learning for students.
