THE ROLE:

As a Multicam Operator you will be reporting to the Visual Operations Manager - you will provide high quality output for across all the News Broadcasting stations. You will be dedicated to ensuring the visualisation of talkSPORT, TALK, Times Radio and Virgin Radio continues to go from strength to strength and help to take the stations to the next level. You will be required to have laser-like focus and not be distracted with what can be a lively and noisy control room or newsroom. This role involves shift work, evenings and weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Vision mixing in a live broadcast environment
• Visual content creation and Project Management
• Correctly copying text on to on-screen graphics
• Liaising with the Visual News Producer/Editor and grabbing assets from folders
• Make sure presenters and guests are framed correctly and constantly checking the output
• To be fully aware of all compliance issues including Ofcom, reporting restrictions, Imaging and Sports rights etc.
• Take responsibility with what can be done to make our visuals look next level
• Reporting technical issues through the appropriate channels
• Constantly checking for breaking news and stories across current affairs, politics and sports
• Maintaining the efficiency of Multicam (the playout software) and making sure that servers are rebooted and storage regularly checked and cleared.
