REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience operating Combilift Side Loader (or similar large yard machinery).
• Previous experience in a loading or heavy industrial environment (steel industry experience advantageous).
• Valid loader licence and up-to-date certifications (training and certification can be provided to the successful candidate if required).
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices and ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication skills and a strong team ethic.
• Flexibility to adapt to production demands and support wider yard/processing operations.
• Own transport is essential.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Hibernia Steel is seeking an experienced Combilift Side Loader Operator to join our Processing Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within our busy production and yard environment. This position requires significant experience in a loading environment, ideally within the steel or other heavy industrial sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Combilift Side Loader safely and efficiently in a heavy industrial environment.
• Load and unload steel and associated materials in line with production schedules.
• Ensure continuous material feed to machinery (shot blast, primer, saws, plasma, etc.) to avoid downtime.
• Manage landing areas for incoming and outgoing material, ensuring safe and organised placement.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and promptly report any defects or maintenance needs.
• Maintain high safety standards, ensuring all loads are secure, level, and compliant with company procedures.
• Support general yard operations as required, including assisting colleagues during peak demand.
• Adhere to all Hibernia Steel safety, quality, and operational policies.
