Position Summary: The Multifamily Recruiter is a dynamic, multifaceted role responsible for the full lifecycle of talent acquisition for our on-site property management teams, including Property Managers, Leasing Consultants, and Maintenance Technicians. Beyond recruitment, this individual will play a key role in employee development by conducting new hire training and providing ongoing support. They will also serve as a vital HR resource for our on-site associates, ensuring a seamless and supportive employee experience. Key Responsibilities I. Talent Acquisition (40%) Manage the end-to-end recruiting process for all on-site positions, ensuring a positive candidate experience from application to hire. Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to build a robust talent pipeline, utilizing job boards, social media, industry networking, and employee referrals. Conduct thorough resume screenings, phone interviews, and initial in-person or video interviews to assess candidate qualifications, cultural fit, and motivation. Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers (Property Managers, Regional Managers). Extend verbal and written employment offers, manage negotiations, and initiate pre-employment screening processes (background checks, drug tests). Maintain accurate and organized documentation on all candidates and recruitment activities within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Stay current on multifamily industry hiring trends and local market compensation to ensure competitiveness. II. Training & Development for On-site Associates (10%) Develop, schedule, and conduct comprehensive onboarding and training sessions for all new on-site hires. Leasing & Sales Training: Train new Leasing Consultants on essential skills, including: Telephone and email etiquette for prospect communication. Greeting prospects, building rapport, and conducting effective property tours. Overcoming objections and closing techniques. Proper use of property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) for lead tracking and guest card entry. Fair Housing & Compliance: Deliver mandatory Fair Housing training to all new employees to ensure a thorough understanding of and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Company Policies & Procedures: Train associates on the employee handbook, safety protocols, emergency procedures, and brand standards. Customer Service Excellence: Instruct on best practices for resident relations, conflict resolution, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Create and update training materials, job aids, and presentations to ensure content is current and effective. III. Human Resources Support (50%) Serve as the first point of contact for on-site employees regarding general HR-related inquiries, including questions about payroll, benefits, and company policies. Manage all new hire paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely completion of I-9 forms, W-4s, and benefits enrollment documentation. Assist in the employee relations process by providing guidance to managers on performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Ensure all recruitment and employment practices are in compliance with EEO, ADA, and other relevant employment laws. Conduct exit interviews with departing on-site employees to gather feedback and identify trends. Assist the HR department with annual projects such as performance reviews, benefits open enrollment, and employee file audits. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience is required. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the multifamily/property management industry is strongly preferred. Proven experience in a role that includes training or employee development responsibilities. Strong knowledge of property management roles and operations (Leasing, Maintenance, Management). Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and fundamental HR principles. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with candidates and employees at all levels. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-priority roles simultaneously. Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite. A self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented mindset. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) or multifamily credentials (CALP, CAM) are a plus.
