MULTISKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Location: Beaminster, Dorset
Salary: £44,000 – £46,000 PA + Bonuses
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Panama Shifts (2-2-3 pattern)
We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join a high-performing maintenance team in a food production environment in Beaminster. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with dairy or food industry maintenance experience who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
The role focuses primarily on mechanical fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance, but a working knowledge of electrical systems (including 3-phase and high voltage) is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across production and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues on pumps, conveyors, mixers, and other production machinery
  • Support electrical maintenance tasks when needed, including fault finding on control panels and circuits
  • Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly service checks and keep detailed maintenance records
  • Participate in site project work and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with site Health & Safety, food safety (FSSC22000), and company procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimise energy usage
