Job Summary The Multi-Care Technician II (MCT II) builds on foundational skills to deliver patient care and monitor telemetry. This position supports patient care activities, performs EKGs, assists in daily living tasks, and functions as a Monitor Tech. Works under the supervision of an RN. Essential Functions Perform patient care tasks, including hygiene support and monitoring vital signs Provide EKG and telemetry monitoring Assist with ambulation and feeding Document intake/output and abnormal findings Maintain unit cleanliness and complete clerical tasks Serve as a liaison with patient families and staff Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Ability to lift/move patients and equipment Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards Education High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Postsecondary completion of CNA, PCT, CMA or EMT program (Required) Or Some college coursework in an accredited school of nursing to include completion of “Fundamentals of Nursing” (Required) Licenses/Certifications Registered, Certified or Licensed in the state of practice as a CNA, PCT, CMA, or EMT (Required) Or Current enrollment in good standing in an accredited school of nursing (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days of hire) Certified EKG Technician (preferred). Experience One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting (Preferred) Successful completion of Monitor Tech Course (Required)
