HERE’S HOW YOU FIT INTO THE V3 TEAM:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Municipal Design Engineer / Technologist to join our Transportation and Municipal Engineering Group. This position focuses on the design and planning of municipal infrastructure projects, including streets, streetscapes, stormwater management, drainage systems, water distribution, and water treatment systems. As part of our office-based team, you’ll collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that enhance communities and improve urban environments. Strong technical expertise and a passion for municipal design are key to success in this role.

HERE’S SOME ADDITIONAL SKILL SETS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Designation as a P.Eng. or P.L. (Eng.)
  • 5 – 10 years of design experience.
  • Experience in Civil 3D.
  • While not required, knowledge of WaterCAD, XPSWMM, MIKE URBAN, and/or ArcGIS would be beneficial to the role.
  • Strong ability to manage time with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teams and clients to prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents for our projects.
  • Grading and utility design for municipal projects.
  • Prepare servicing design reports.
  • Prepare Erosion and Sediment Control plans.
  • Prepare construction contracts and specification documents.
  • Provide design support to construction field staff.
  • Software modelling for drainage, water, and sewer systems.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of quantity take offs, and opinions of probable cost.
  • Maintain regular communication with Clients to provide status updates.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
