(Permanent Full Time – New Position) The Town of Wasaga Beach is seeking an energetic and self-motivated team player to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Municipal Law Enforcement Supervisor. General Responsibilities: This supervisory position provides daily operational direction, support, and leadership to Municipal Law Enforcement Officers, Property Standards Officers, and seasonal staff. The role ensures effective enforcement of municipal by‑laws, with a focus on property standards, zoning compliance, inspections, and special projects. Responsibilities include coordinating field deployment, overseeing parking enforcement technology and processes, supporting priority investigations, and assisting with staff training, scheduling, and onboarding. The position promotes a customer‑focused, education‑first approach to achieving consistent and fair by‑law compliance. Qualifications: Completion of a two (2) year post-secondary diploma in Law and Security, Police Foundations, Public Administration, or a related field. Thorough working knowledge of applicable legislation including the Municipal Act, Building Code Act, Provincial Offences Act, Dog Owners’ Liability Act, and related municipal By-laws. Strong understanding of property standards enforcement procedures and applicable legal frameworks. Experience preparing and reviewing enforcement documentation, court packages, and evidence briefs. Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory experience in a municipal or regulatory enforcement environment. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with members of the public, elected officials, and external agencies. Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, enforcement software, ticketing platforms, and electronic records systems. Valid Class “G” Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract in good standing; Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and operate relevant equipment; Acceptable Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector and Police Record Name Check as condition of employment; Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays, if required.
