At Whittlebury Park, we are seeking an experienced Maître d’ to join our acclaimed 3 AA Rosette restaurant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality professional with a fine dining background, keen to elevate their career within our prestigious four-star hotel.
Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers a 254-bedroom, four-star hotel, conference and training centre, and award-winning facilities including a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, luxurious spa, and a 36-hole championship golf course.
Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience, based on 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

As Murray’s Maître d’, you will:

  • Lead the seamless operation of our 3 AA Rosette restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and refined dining experiences.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in delivering a high-performance culture, nurturing a motivated and knowledgeable team.
  • Maintain our fine dining standards, ensuring the highest levels of hospitality, attention to detail, and guest engagement.
  • Personally oversee guest reservations, ensuring tailored experiences for special occasions
  • Work closely with our Executive Chef to facilitate menu administration, brief sheets, and product knowledge.
  • Support revenue enhancement through upselling initiatives and innovation within the restaurant.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you are an experienced Maître d’ with a background in fine dining, ideally within a 2/3 AA Rosette or Michelin-starred establishment. You have exceptional food, wine, and spirit knowledge, with WSET or CMS qualifications being a strong advantage. Your leadership skills set you apart—you know how to mentor, train, and inspire a team, fostering a high-performance culture in our prestigious 4-star hotel setting. Your professional yet personable approach ensures that every guest enjoys an impeccable dining experience. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and financially astute, always looking for ways to enhance service standards and drive revenue growth.
