Located on Hobson Wharf in the Viaduct, we’re looking for enthusiastic Museum Assistants to join our Visitor Services Team in ongoing casual roles. This is not just a summer job – we’re looking for people who are committed to staying on with us. Christmas and New Year is our busiest period, so availability then is essential. As the welcoming face of the museum, you’ll help visitors with tickets, retail sales, and vessel trips, while also supporting events and programmes that showcase our maritime stories. You could expect to work on: Greeting and assisting visitors at front-of-house Selling tickets, memberships, merchandise, and vessel trips Supporting events, public programmes, and family activities Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment Sharing knowledge of the local area and museum offerings He kōrero mōu: About you We’re looking for people who are friendly, proactive, and thrive in a busy visitor-focused environment.
