JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic individual to participate in our team as Museum Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to foster a positive work environment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively communicate with a Board of Directors.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a managerial role or similar capacity is beneficial.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings would be an asset.
  • Customer service in the tourism industry will be an asset.
  • Interest in early Canadian history will help you carry out duties.
  • Participating in public events may be required.

    Job Type: Seasonal
    Contract length: 4 months
    Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
    Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, be able to work with independently and with other team members.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate staff.
  • Prepare reports for Directors.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the Board to ensure alignment of goals and initiatives.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
