Job Summary Create is seeking a highly detail-oriented Music Accountant to join the Music Services Accounting team. This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and will support advance tracking, royalty processing, artist onboarding, and high-volume transactional workflows across Curve, Label Engine, and Tipalti. This is a critical execution role focused on accuracy, scalability, and process improvement as we continue to grow and integrate new partners and catalogs. Responsibilities Advances & Expense Processing Monitor Curve and Label Engine advance and expense submissions Generate and upload payment files Update payment statuses and resolve edge cases Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of advance activity Royalty & Payment Operations Reconcile and review royalty statement exports Upload royalty data into Tipalti Complete artist onboarding within Tipalti Resolve onboarding blockers and ensure timely AP cycle processing Client-Facing Support Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding payments, statements, and account updates Interpret royalty and payment data in a clear, digestible manner Assist with documentation requests and payment inquiries Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Data, Client Services, and Accounting teams to improve workflow efficiency Support integration initiatives and system migrations Provide audit support and reporting as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications 1–2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Royalties, or high-volume transactional accounting Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Music industry experience (distribution, publishing, label, or entertainment) strongly preferred Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and month-end close support Experience with NetSuite preferred Experience with Tipalti, Curve, Label Engine, or royalty systems a plus Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets Clear communicator with strong client-facing skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Pay Scale $26.00 - $29.00 per hour The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
