THE POSITION

Reporting to the Head of Music, the successful candidate will deliver music curriculum of a high standard based on an understanding of varied teaching and learning approaches.
This role is a full-time role, commencing in Term 1, 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and deliver music related lessons for students across the Middle/Senior School.
• Cater for individual learning needs within the classroom.
• Work within a team in the Music department to develop and evaluate curriculum.
• Contribute to the thriving co-curricular performing arts program.
• Providing music support to individuals and small groups of students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy.
• Monitor, evaluate and report of student progress.
• Create a culture of learning within the classroom.
• Opportunity to take on a STEM Project Leadership responsibility.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Solid experience in music teaching across Middle/Senior year levels, including VCE Music Contemporary Performance.
• VIT registration is essential.
• An understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and different teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.
