JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Peripatetic Music Teacher to deliver engaging piano and guitar lessons to primary school children at a primary school in the postcode of W7. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education, able to inspire young learners, and committed to fostering musical creativity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong proficiency in piano and guitar, with experience teaching young children.
  • Ability to create engaging, structured lessons suitable for primary school students.
  • Experience organising and leading school performances.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and able to travel.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities
  • Teach piano and guitar to primary-aged students in small group and one-to-one sessions.
  • Plan fun, interactive, and age-appropriate lessons that build confidence and musical skills.
  • Organise and lead end-of-term performances, showcasing student progress to parents and staff.
  • Encourage creativity and a love for music through engaging activities and games.
  • Support students in developing fundamental musical skills such as rhythm, melody, and basic notation.
  • Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school staff on progress.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
