This role is perfect for someone who loves working with upper elementary and middle school students and enjoys bringing music to life through both general music classes and instrumental instruction.What Youll Do: Teach 6 General Music classes to students in grades 68, using our established Core Knowledge Music curriculumLead small group instrumental lessons, focusing on saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, and woodwindsOption to assist with our dynamic Modern Band program one afternoon per weekSchedule: Middle SchoolGeneral Music Lessons: 8:00 AM 8:45 AM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30 AM 10:15 AM Monday and Tuesday Additional scheduling for group instrumental lessons is flexible and will be coordinated based on student needs and teacher availability.What Were Looking For: Experience teaching music to middle and upper elementary studentsStrong background in instrumental instruction, especially woodwinds and brassPassion for cultivating student creativity and musical expressionCollaborative, reliable, and enthusiastic about being part of a supportive school cultureInterested candidates please send resume, cover letter and three letters of recommendation to careers@sfnh.or
