In order to accomplish our goal we pride ourselves on effective and streamlined communication, ongoing mentoring and support, collaboration between our core therapeutic disciplines (assistive tech, intervention specialists, OT, ABA, and PT), and providing our professionals with the materials and tools they need to succeed. Essential Accountabilities for the Music Therapist Conduct initial evaluations or re-evaluations using standardized and/or informal music therapy assessment tools. Design individualized treatment plans and materials to match the patient’s unique learning profile. Provide therapy according to the treatment plan while monitoring progress and adjusting therapy. Document, monitor, and analyze the patient’s progress and effects of treatment. Communicate, educate, and provide family training on the patient’s individualized treatment plans. Consult and collaborate with family and other staff or supports (i.e., physician, school district, other therapies). Create and submit all reporting, including appropriate recommendations ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy Music Therapist-Board-Certified (MT-BC) Experience working in a pediatric setting on a multidisciplinary team preferred Valid Driver’s license. Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending and understanding the English language. Completed FBI and BCI background check. Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by the governing body. Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices. Must be able to handle stressful situations.
