Job Details Job Location: San Francisco, CA 94132 Position Type: Seasonal Salary Range: $28.00 - $30.00 Hourly Dates: June 8 – August 21, 2026 Training Week: June 8–12 Prep Period: May 11 – June 5 (up to 10 hrs/week) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM Pay Rate: $28–$30/hour (commensurate with experience) Position Overview: Musical Theater Specialists are responsible for leading three 3-week musical theater sessions that culminate in camper performances. You will guide campers through choreography, voice, and blocking, and foster a collaborative, confidence-building environment for young performers. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with camp themes Teach choreography, vocal performance, and scene blocking Rehearse and direct final performances with camper ensembles Collaborate with the other Musical Theater Specialist, Theater Tech Specialist, counselors, and leadership for performance prep Create a supportive, engaging environment that nurtures creativity Qualifications Qualifications: Strong background in musical theater, including choreography and vocal direction Prior experience teaching or directing theater for children Confident classroom management and facilitation skills
