JOB DESCRIPTION

Lorvale Learning Centre is a private learning center based in Toronto. We provide enrichment programs to students aged 6–18. We are currently seeking part-time or full-time Musical Theater/Vocal Training Teachers to join our growing team!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Reliable, organized, punctual, and patient, with a strong commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
• Proven experience in delivering vocal training and musical theatre instruction using engaging, dynamic teaching methods.
• Skilled in coaching voice technique, stage presence, acting, and musical interpretation.
• Proficient in developing customized learning plans based on each student’s vocal range, goals, and learning style.
• Degree in Music, Musical Theatre, Vocal Performance, or a related field preferred.
• Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification considered an asset.
• Minimum of three years’ teaching or performance coaching experience required.
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

• Create and prepare age/grade-appropriate lesson plans focused on vocal technique, performance skills, and musical theater repertoire
• Deliver lessons in an engaging and inspiring way that nurtures confidence and creativity
• Prepare students for recitals, showcases, and potential competitions or auditions
• Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback
• Periodically communicate student progress with center officers and parents
• Actively participate in staff meetings
• Willingness to assist in planning and implementing special events, such as performances and workshops
• Willingness to cover other instructors as needed
