MUSICAL MINDS ARE LEADERS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC EDUCATION, BRINGING LIVE MUSIC & SINGING TO YOUNG CHILDREN.

This role requires you to perform group classes in different locations on different days. We’re looking for someone based in Melbourne’s South East to service our customers in this area.

We believe Music is for Everyone & we need you to help us reach as many kids as possible.
We are looking for passionate musicians or performers interested in teaching children’s music classes. Experience working with kids is a bonus not required, we need confident performers with the high energy required to engage a room of young children. Our classes are about getting the kids to have fun while they learn the music fundamentals.
We are a business run by musicians, for musicians! We provide a supportive, creative environment for our team, with regular work to support & fit in with your other creative projects! Our Music Director provides a structured program to deliver the classes, but we know that no 2 musicians are the same and we encourage our teachers to add their own style to the classes they lead.
Paid in person training is provided, with observation of an experienced team member before you commence teaching. Regular ongoing training & development sessions for you to learn & contribute your own ideas to the music program.
- You must be able to sing at pitch
- You will be working with young children, so you need to have energy!!
- Must be competent on guitar/ukulele (no teaching)
- Structured class programs with all instruments provided, at no costs to you
- Classes typically run between 2-4 hours, both morning and afternoon. Where possible we will schedule your classes close to where you live
- Classes will be on location in childcare centres, so a driver’s licence & reliable vehicle are required
- Flexible days + fixed schedule, you choose the days you are available to work & know your work schedule in advance
- Be valued as part of an amazing team
- Working with children check (or ability to obtain) is required
Previous experience working with children is not essential but is an advantage.
We’re looking for someone available to commence in the next few weeks.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
