Our vision is for all Mustangs to discover their personalized pathway through Western’s rich, wholistic learning environment; engage in brave conversations with our diverse community on and off campus, and develop the courage to be uncomfortable without fear of failure in order to thrive throughout their degree and after graduation. At Western, the Student Experience portfolio is organized into three inter-dependent pillars that provide the programmes and supports that inspire Western Students to discover themselves; engage with their communities and thrive as learners. These pillars are: Wellness & Wellbeing (comprised of the following departments: Health & Wellness, Student Support & Case Management and Wellness & Equity Education), Sport & Recreation (comprised of the following departments: Recreation & Active Well-being, Sport and Spirit & Connection), and Leadership & Learning (comprised of the following departments: Academic Support & Engagement and Careers & Experience). Professional and student staff working across these three pillars collaborate with student organizations and academic and administrative leaders throughout campus to foster inclusive and wholistic learning environments that maximize the potential of each student.
The Sport & Recreation pillar collectively works to enrich student thriving through a focus on developing leadership and success in sport and recreation. With a commitment to diversity and inclusion we engage Mustangs in active-wellbeing and inspire spirit and tradition in order to strengthen the bonds of the Western community. Spirit & Connection builds tradition, creates memories, and fosters school spirit. Sport and Recreation plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment at Western. Sport and Recreation works closely with Western and the local community to make connections, foster goodwill, encourage involvement and school spirit, offer experiential opportunities for students, make a positive impact, deliver spirited programming and events, and encourage collaboration and entrepreneurship. The Mustangs’ brand is a passion point that unifies current students and alumni around the world. Our signature spaces, events, programmes, and teams serve to act as a connection point for Western students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as for external businesses, government, and organizations.

• Strong customer services skills
• Flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends)
• Self-motivated
• Independent decision making and problem-solving skills
• Team oriented
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, services and facilities an asse

Purpose of Role:
Western University is one of the best athletic programs in the country and this exciting opportunity is a chance to be a part of the Mustangs Athletic team as a member of the Events Staff team you will report to the Event Manager and Gameday coordinators and will work all Sports Games and other scheduled special events. Events staff members are responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable event for our athletes, alumni and spectators while ensuring our venues and spaces meet the wholistic needs of our community.

Responsibilities:

• Venue preparation, cleaning and organization prior to an event
• Equipment set up and tear down before and after events
• Aiding in game promotions
• Working the concession stands and serving food and drinks
• Guest Services duties include ticketing, ushering and answering customer questions

Minimum Qualifications:
